Eligibility

To be considered for a scholarship or award opportunity, a student must be a new or returning CT State Middlesex student who plans to register in the fall semester of the upcoming academic year. Note: Some scholarships are designated for students who will graduate from Middlesex in May. Graduating students who plan to transfer to a four-year higher education institution are eligible to apply. All MxCC Foundation scholarships are made available to Middlesex students from generous individuals, businesses, civic organizations, corporations, and income generated at special MxCC Foundation events. Annually, the application process begins in December of the fall semester and culminates with the announcement of scholarship recipients near the end of the spring semester.

Requirements

Complete these three components in the scholarship application packet by the March 1 deadline:

  • Two online recommendation forms: Current Middlesex students should request at least one recommendation from a Middlesex faculty or staff member. Other acceptable sources for recommendations can be from high school teacher or guidance counselor, employer, volunteer supervisor, clergy member from a religious organization from which you are member, etc. Recommendations from friends or relatives will not be considered. You may copy and paste the link into an email to those you are seeking a recommendation.
  • A copy of your transcript. Please email to Corey Ruggieri at corey.ruggieri@ctstate.edu a copy of your CT State Community College transcript (a copy from Banner Self-Service is acceptable), OR your high school transcript if you are entering Middlesex directly from high school. If the Spring 2026 semester is your first semester attending CT State Middlesex, you will not have a transcript. In this case, please have each of your instructors complete a mid-term grade report found online here.
