CT State Middlesex and Middlesex Community College Foundation present an exclusive free screening of the film Beautifully Broken on Friday, April 10, 2026.
Beautifully Broken follows 2020 Middlesex alumnus Jared Buchanan as he runs a 250-mile ultramarathon on the 10th anniversary of his father’s suicide. The film explores grief, trauma, identity and resilience, while raising awareness about mental health, post-traumatic stress and suicide prevention.
The screening will take place in Chapman Hall, room 808, on the Middletown campus, 100 Training Hill Road, and is followed by a complimentary lunch and live Q&A with Jared Buchanan and filmmaker Daniel Herzog.
